Just Plain Weird

My aunt, Carole, recently forwarded me an invitation to a photo shoot at a local garden. Her niece, Jenn, is a photographer. Jenn and I are not related, but we do share the same aunt. I've known her pretty much all my life, though we're not close.
So I get the invite that Jenn is doing a photo shoot for anyone who is interested. I had to work and so was unable to go, but I did pass the info along to several friends with kids. Okay. Fine.
Fast forward to today. I stop by the website of my friend Meg. At the end of each month, she posts a "love list" of things that made her happy in that month. Her June Love List is up and one of the things listed is "fun photo shoot with Jenn Barnett" . I should mention here that Meg IS NOT one of the friends to whom I forwarded the invite.
So, somehow, Meg either got wind of this photo shoot, or, she knows Jenn. Either way, it is just plain weird. I've known Meg for almost two years, and to find out that we may have someone in common? Odd. Odd. Odd.
I know they say it's a small world, but whenever I get proof it kind of freaks me out.
P.S. Since the title of this blog is "Just Plain Weird", I am going off topic to mention that a man in a dress shirt and slacks just entered. He looks like a business professional. But, his shirt is white with thin, blue, vertical stripes. And there are neon green frog decals all over it. No kidding. It is the weirdest dress shirt I've ever seen (and possibly the ugliest). So weird I just had to include it. I'm hoping one of his kids gave it to him for Father's Day and he felt obligated to wear it at least once. It's better than thinking he voluntarily spent money on this shirt.
