I have gotten some interesting responses on my post about my Sexiest Men in Hollywood. It made me think, "gee, if people enjoy it....?". So I decided to gift you with another list. I know some people (Kelly) are expecting musicians (and you'll get them eventually) I decided to detour into uncharted territory and tackle the Sexiest Men in Sports.

 

Well, go ahead, dive right in. I know you are just dying to find out who I have named #1.  (By the way, if you don't already know who my number 1 will be, you should stop reading immediately. Go back and read all my old posts, figure it out, and THEN continue.).

 

Honorable Mention. Jay Cutler. Football. QB for the Denver Broncos. (My brother Zack decreed that Cutler will be my new favorite QB, now that TB is out for the season. Dutiful sister that I am, I have willingly embraced the edict...so Jay Cutler makes honorable mention.)

 

 

25. Jeff Gordon. NASCAR. While I agree, it isn't really a sport, this is one fine looking man, if you like the boy-next-door type.

 

 

24. Kelly Slater. Surfing. To the surfing world, this man is a God...I can totally see it--oh wait, they were probably talking about his skill.

 

 (By the way, athletes are more prone to taking off their shirts than Hollywood men...just a warning!)

 

23. Tony Gonzalez. Football. When I read that he's a tight end...so many things, not fit to print.

 

 

22. Derek Jeter. Baseball. I wanted him to go higher (I've always had a soft spot for him, ever since he nodded at me during a game) but there are just a lot of good looking guys in sports.

 

 

21. Jeremy Bloom. Football/Skiier. Yeah, this guy was a pro skiier and then played pro football so I guess that makes him multi-talented hot.

 

 

20. Elliott Sadler. NASCAR. I know, I know, TWO NASCAR guys on the list. Hey, I can't help it, if they're hot, they're in.

 

 

19. J. J. Redick. Basketball. I do like 'em tall.

 

 

18. Shane Dorian. Surfing. Again, it was shocking to me that any surfers made this list, much less TWO of them. (See note on Elliott Sadler).

 

 

17. Michael Owen. Soccer. He's a "football striker", which I think means soccer. But what the hell, I don't like him for the sports.

 

 

16. Johan Santana. Baseball. He's incredible and being good at what you do is so incredibly sexy.

 

 (He no longer plays for Minnesota...now he's with the Mets, but this was the Santana I first started crushing on.)

 

15.  Paul Casey. Golf. Yes, golf. I am aware that it is a ridiculous excuse for a sport (who wants the lowest score?) but still, there are some super-hot golfers in this world. Read on.

 

 

14. Landon Donovan. Soccer. By golly soccer players are hot. Justin told me they were all preppy, boy am I glad he was wrong.

 

 

13. Matt Leinart. Football. I don't know if it is the uniforms or what...but QB's are hot.

 

 

 

12. Fredrik Ljungberg. Soccer. See? Told you they're hot.

11. Daniel Negreanu. Poker. Okay, I will admit it. Poker isn't a sport. But it's close and I just love Kid Poker. Aside from that, he is said to be the nicest guy on the circuit, which makes him more attractive to me. And I figured if I was including NASCAR, then poker should count, too.

 

(Tell me you wouldn't want him staring you down across a table piled high with millions of dollars.)

10. Alex Rodriguez. Baseball. Sure, he's a skeez, and he plays for the devil, sorry Yankees, but still, he's mm-mm good.

 

 

9. Adam Scott. Golf. Told you so.

 

 (He looks like a friggin model!)

 

8. Oscar De La Hoya. Boxing. Here's a sport I know nothing about....except for the fact that this guy does it well and does it prettier than anybody else.

 

 

7. Sergio Garcia. Golf. Oh yeah, another golfer. And this one is damn good at it, too.

 

 (See? Look how big his trophy is!)

 

6. Michael Jordan. Basketball. Athlete=Michael Jordan, they're practically synonymous. Here's a couple more. Nike=Michael Jordan. Chicago Bulls=Michael Jordan. 23=Michael Jordan. Sexy as Hell=Michael Jordan.

 

 

5. Joe Mauer. Baseball. He might be young, but he's talented, good-looking, and growing taller by the second. Plus, he's a hometown boy. Love that. Love him.

 

 

4. David Wright. Baseball. D-Wright is one of (well, according to me he is THE) the best looking guys in baseball. Add in talented and you get sexy.

 

 (Yeah, that's from a magazine, I just liked everything about it, including "The Young Master"....yowza).

 

3. David Beckham. Soccer. I am betting that people are wondering who #2 could possibly be. Becks is hot...no doubt about it. Plus he's got the accent thing working for him....and this picture of him sold me for sure. (WARNING: Not suitable for children under 18).

 

 (EEEYikes! Need to pause and slow my heartrate before proceeding).

 

2. Patrick Rafter. Tennis. The one and only tennis player to make the list. I have to say, I hear people talking about how Andy Roddick and Roger Federer are hot, but when I first saw Patrick Rafter, all I could think is "what the hell is wrong with people?". This man is so hot he nearly defies the laws of nature.

And the winner?

 

1. Tom Brady. Football. Come on, there was absolutely no surprise there. The man is a God. A Legend. A Hero. Perfection in one neat package. And I guess he plays football sometimes, too. By now you must all know of my obsession with him, in fact, I could easily do a top 25 "pictures of Tom Brady" blog (sigh) so this was hard for me....I only get to choose one.

 

 

It should be illegal to be that good looking. But thank God it isn't! (Don't you love how I keep finding these great pictures of him?)

 

Okay, so here's the final results:

 

Baseball: 5

Football: 4

Soccer: 4

Golf: 3

Basketball: 2

Surfing: 2

NASCAR: 2

Tennis: 1

Boxing: 1

Poker: 1

 

What does that tell us? Well, obviously baseball has the hottest men. Football players are hot, be they European or American. Even fake sports can have hot stars. And there are no good looking men that play hockey. In fact, every photo I looked at of a hockey player conclusively proved that man is descended from apes. Yeesh.

 

This was fun. And Tom Brady rules all.
